1. ‘EVERYTHING IS BRAINROTT’ by Filmore! ft. Niall Tarmey

A distorted ode to noughties teen movies with cheerleaders giving you the motivation you need to finally give in and lose your mind. Repetitive, addictive, and definitely bad for you, it’s brainrot in sonic form.

2. ‘STORM I’ by GENER8ION & Yung Lean

Polish is overrated. This song is raw, the delivery rough, the lyrics simple yet effective. STORM I doesn’t so much capture your attention, but fills up any and all empty space you have in your mind and offers you a simple message — RUN.

3. ‘COME TRUE’ by Kenny Mason

It’s the middle of the night, you can’t sleep and when you look out the window the world is burning. Sometimes the internet is about distraction but at other times it’s about staring depression and misery in the face. It shouldn’t sound this good, right?

4. ‘The Peace’ by underscores

Glitchy, pitchy, and random as fuck. underscores always capture the feeling of the ‘internet’ but this song takes it a step further. Weirdly horny, a little pathetic, and oddly beautiful. It’s a mess. That’s the point.

5. ‘idk idk’ by Jim Legxacy

Jim Legxacy constructs songs in such a way where all his musical influences aren’t just apparent when listening to his work but actually make up the tangible DNA of his records. Sample heavy, chopped melodies, and a sense of bright melancholy that can only be achieved by spending WAY too much time online.

6. ‘2000s Pop Punk Rnb’ by WHATMORE

I mean the name kinda says it all. Just shut up, turn your brain off and enjoy the song man … why you tryna overthink shit? It’s TikTok.

7. ‘Beatback’ by Fcukers

Brain and beat go “BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR”.

8. ‘Ca$ino’ by Baby Keem

Whiny, sporadic, angry and somehow still numb to the world? Baby Keem is like a Gen-Z Kendrick Lamar, in the best and worst ways.

9. ‘2008’ by DJmegan23

This is the best song in the world. This is the internet. Addictive-bright-sweet-nonsense. It’s perfect. It doesn’t pretend to be anything more than it is, it doesn’t need to, you’ll love it regardless.

10. ‘iwouldmaketime’ by Evan Kennedy

Loud, abrasive, erratic, yet strikingly sweet and gentle when it needs to be. Evan Kennedy delivers something that scratches the exact same itch as scrolling on twitter.
