Welsh alternative rock trio CHROMA have announced details of their debut album Ask For Angela, led by singles I Don’t Wanna Go Out and Don’t Mind Me, which feature the band’s bilingual songwriting.

Ask For Angela deals with contemporary social themes such as anxiety and FOMO. The album encapsulates the fear of missing out all while not convinced you want to go in the first place. This internal debate is something so many of us can relate to.

It also targets much heavier themes including the mistreatment of women, trans rights, and sexual misconduct, all taken from the band’s experiences growing up in South Wales. Although these topics are difficult to manoeuvre, CHROMA feel it is important to have the conversation and use their platform to highlight these issues.

Their success streak began with a string of headline shows in the UK throughout September as well as a show in Korea in the summer. The trio recently celebrated their signing to Alcopop! Records earlier this year as well as being selected to support rock legends Foo Fighters at Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

Recorded at Giant Wafer Studios, and produced and mastered by Steffan Pringle and Tom Langrish respectively, the group said “Ask For Angela is no longer just ours, but it’s yours, now and forever. We hope you find as much joy in this record as it was for us to create.”

Ask For Angela is set for release on the October 20th via Alcopop! Records
