Dove Ellis has finally announced his much-anticipated tour, where he will debut material from his critically acclaimed debut album, Blizzard. The singer is heading to Dublin, Manchester, Los Angeles and New York in May, in what will be an opportunity for fans and critics alike to finally get a taste of these songs on the live stage after having them rolling around their ears for several months.

The Irish-born Ellis dropped the critically acclaimed Blizzard towards the end of 2025. If it seemed like he came out of nowhere, then that’s probably because he did. It’s incredibly rare for an artist to emerge from the dark with such a fully formed sound and songwriting style. There are melodies aplenty, and the album’s arrangements sound like they would fit on a seasoned artists third or fourth record rather than a newcomer’s debut.

Musically, Ellis has drawn comparisons with last year’s indie poster boy Cameron Winter, and he will certainly hope to follow a similar trajectory throughout 2026. Whilst there are clear similarities between the two artists, Ellis certainly exists in his own space within his own right.

Ellis may be the latest in a long list of indie singer-songwriters to be met with an endless array of hype and expectation, but I have a feeling this tour will prove the hype is indeed real. Ellis, as an artist, may have just barely started to tell a story but, with songs like these, you are certainly going to want to catch where his story takes him next.
