Yorkshire singer-songwriter Fiona-Lee has announced her second EP, which is set to come out on April 17th of this year via Gravity / Capitol Records. The work explores the experiences of women in relation to sexual assault, especially the artist’s own past trauma. The music is stirring, touching, and deeply personal. You can listen to Every Woman, Imposter, and Victim now before the full release. The music video for Every Woman displays Fiona’s experienced trauma through a relation to the experiences of other women.

On the themes behind the track, Fiona said, “‘Every Woman’ is about sexual assault, a subject that remains dangerously silenced. Despite how common it is, rape culture attaches shame to the conversation. It’s clear we have failed and are still failing to teach young men how to respect women. This song is about releasing that shame and reclaiming power. It’s about taking action and confronting those who should be held accountable. I want women to hear it and feel anger — not as something to suppress, but as something validating and energising. And I want men to hear it and know this song is addressing them, and calling on them to take responsibility.”

Fiona-Lee has also announced that she will be headlining a set of performances across the UK for the first time, with a small tour in April and additional dates throughout the year.
