Greg Freeman announces new album ‘All Set The Bone’
The John Congleton-produced album is the follow-up to last year’s critically acclaimed ‘Burnover’.

Greg Freeman has announced his return this October with the follow-up to critically acclaimed record Burnover. The new album, titled All Set The Bone, arrives on October 2nd via Transgressive/Canvasback and is preceded by its blistering lead single Indu.
The thirteen-track album arrives much sooner than anticipated, as Freeman himself says that he “had this epiphany moment where I understood what the next record should be, which surprised me, because I thought it would take a lot longer to have the influences or inspiration required to undertake writing a new album.”
The album is produced by serial indie rock record producer John Congleton and features Freeman’s longstanding collaborators Garrett Linck and Sam Atallah, alongside a string of fresh guests including Florry’s Joey Sullivan.
Freeman also describes the album as a “reflection of a lot of change, and a lot of tension”. It’s not hard to see why when you listen to the album’s electrifying lead single Indu. The guitar-driven song is certainly still in the alt-country wheelhouse of an artist like MJ Lenderman but is far more unhinged and musically exciting, with a more blistering Mountain Goats-style frantic vocal delivery.
It is such a well-put-together and constructed song, as every distinct piece of it sounds exciting, captivating and fresh. It certainly fits right alongside the likes of the epic, chaotic and innovative indie rock, Americana and alt-country hybrid music of Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band.
Listening to Indu makes you want to keep hearing more and more of what Freeman has been cooking up over the past year. Unfortunately, we have to wait a little longer, but, if Indu is any indication at all, then we’re in for a treat.
Alongside the album announcement, Greg has also shared plans for a UK, EU and USA tour, starting off in Bristol this month, before seeing him hit Manchester and London, then taking his tour to Europe and ending in America in November.
