London-based rockers Home Counties have announced their debut album Exactly As It Seems. The album, slated for a May 2024 release, follows the group’s debut and sophomore EPs, Redevelopment and In A Middle English Town. It will be their first album under Submarine Cat Records.

Comprised of vocalist Will Harrison, guitarist Conor Kearney, bassist Bill Griffin, percussionist Barn Peiser Pepin, drummer Dan Hearn, and newest recruit Lois Kelly on the synth, the band takes a production shift towards everything melodic; taking a dance-oriented route of inspiration. Exactly As It Seems is mixed by acclaimed engineer Andy Savours and produced by Kearney.

Alongside the announcement, Home Counties dropped their latest single Wild Guess; an entanglement of instrumentation spanning from flamenco-style guitar, synth, and quips of unique sounds straight out of an 80s sci-fi flick. Harrison and Kelly take turns sharing the spotlight vocally, coming together during the apex of it to capitalize on the out-of-this-world auditory experience being presented. The second taste of Exactly As It Seems following the lead single Bethnal Green, the possibilities for what Home Counties can do look promising.

In support of Exactly As It Seems, Home Counties will embark on a headline tour throughout the UK (support will be announced at a later date). After selling out venues such as The 100 Club and The Lexington, the journey towards bigger shows begins following the release in May 2024.

Exactly As It Seems is out May 3rd 2024 via Submarine Cat Records. Wild Guess is available now.
