The beloved songster Hozier has returned with a new era. Announced earlier this week, the newest EP from the alternative singer-songwriter, Eat Your Young, is coming soon. His first formal release since 2019’s Wasteland, Baby!, it’s sure to deliver just what fans have been longing for in the past four years.

It had been no secret that Hozier (full name Andrew John Hozier-Byrne) had been in the process of making some new material. With plenty of TikTok snippets and teases plus a slew of singles, his return was highly anticipated. Swan Upon Leda, the last single he released, was well-received and left fans craving more. Perhaps good things are crafted in time when it comes to Hozier — there was a five-year gap between his debut self-titled album and Wasteland, Baby! after all.

Sitting at three tracks, it’s on the shorter side of things; nevertheless, it’s all unreleased material. Perhaps it’s the first taste of the forthcoming album (allegedly entitled Unreal Unearth according to various news outlets) that fans have been dying to hear or something different altogether. Regardless, whatever Hozier has heading listeners’ way, it’s sure to be one to keep an ear out for.

Eat Your Young will be available on March 17th via Columbia Records.
