New Zealand folk singer Ny Oh has announced the release of her debut album ‘Wildwood’
The announcement comes with new single ‘Shine’.
Born in Worcestershire, Naomi Ludlow, known professionally as Ny Oh, is a New Zealand-raised folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose deeply powerful voice and intricate lyricism pulls you in for what feels like a warm hug. Since studying vocal performance at London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, she has fronted the psychedelic folk group Neon Gru and toured internationally as a multi-instrumentalist with Harry Styles on Love On Tour.
Ny Oh is now sending her debut album, Wildwood, out into the world, and is set to release on November 12th. The lead single, Aperture, along with follow-ups like Shine, foreshadow an album focused on self-acceptance, vision, leaning into your own power and inspiring your greatest strengths. Wildwood isn’t afraid to tiptoe around vulnerability and dives into the depths of life’s more sensitive topics. The album boasts ethereal vocals and gorgeous instrumentals, rooted in folk but unafraid to wander into country-tinged twang and more dreamy soundscapes.
Wildwood is out November 12th.
