OUTBREAK FEST 2023 is brimming with potential as it announces more artists

The festival boasts an eclectic line-up, with previously announced headliners Denzel Curry and Death Grips being joined by a wealth of newcomers.

This year, Manchester’s OUTBREAK FEST has stepped away from its hardcore roots. The 2023 lineup ranges from progressive metal icons Loathe to beloved rapper Earl Sweatshirt, whilst indie-rock Turnover are not to be forgotten.

Despite the newfound range in the line-up, OUTBREAK FEST pays homage to its origins with hardcore bands such as Code Orange, Bane, Converge, Show Me the Body, and Trapped Under Ice being sure to bring powerful sets. Alongside an already exciting lineup, today Buggin, Defeater and Restraining Order were announced, amongst others. That’s not it — there are more artists coming to the lineup soon.

The tastemaker festival started way back in 2011 in a Sheffield community centre, holding just a few hundred people. Clearly they’ve come a long way, as this year the festival will be at Manchester’s Mayfield Depot, a legendary venue with a capacity of 10,000.

OUTBREAK FEST takes place from the 23rd to the 25th of June. Grab your ticket here — don’t miss one of the best independent festivals in the North.
