p(doom), the record label of psych/metal favourites King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, signs a new band in The Mystery Lights, a garage rock five-piece from California.

Their first release with the record label, Kids of Today, is out now, and echoes the best of today’s surf-psych scene; Osees, Frankie and the Witch Fingers and the early days of their Aussie labelmates. The vocals are sludgy, the guitar distorted to the nth degree and the backbeat straight out of a ‘60s rock LP. It’s a worthy entry in the psychedelic scene; infectious and hazy.

Kids of Today is out now via p(doom) Records.
