After reaching number sixteen on the UK charts with their debut record Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars, The Royston Club are back with news of their second album, Songs For The Spine, which they’ve shared alongside new single Glued To The Bed.

Building on the sonic DNA of their debut record, Songs For The Spine will firmly signpost the band’s creative evolution with a sound that’s bigger, more experimental and more heartfelt than ever before.

Produced by Rich Turvey (Blossoms, Rachel Chinouriri), who helped the Wrexham quartet tap into some of the raw energy that powers their live shows, the album is set to inspire further fan intensity while also giving The Royston Club the chance to hit the next level.

Guitarist Ben Matthias said, “All of these songs are about people and places we love. These people and these places are the things that keep you standing through whatever happens. There’s the classic songs about our relationships with our girlfriends, but on the flipside, there’s even a song about me going home to Wrexham and feeling guilty because I’d forgot that the speed limits had changed in Wales, which shows how long it had been since I’d last been there!”

On top of this, the band have also announced a UK and European headline tour which will take place this autumn and will feature their largest London show to date at the O2 Forum Kentish Town.

Songs For The Spine will be released on August 8th via Run On Records and can be pre-ordered here alongside tickets for The Royston Club’s autumn headline tour.
