Transvision Vamp, the late ‘80s pop rock group behind hits Baby I Don’t Care and I Want Your Love, have announced a string of shows across the United Kingdom this coming October, starting in Newcastle on the 6th and seeing them perform career-spanning cuts in Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and Dublin.

The tour follows the group’s recent reunion after initially disbanding in 1992. February saw the group — fronted by original singer Wendy James and bassist Dave Parsons — tour Australia and New Zealand. The tour, many of whose shows were sold out, consisted primarily of Transvision Vamp material, with a few of James’ own solo tracks peppered in. The group playfully promises: “playing every single Transvision Vamp song you ever wanted to hear live!”

Transvision Vamp were formed in 1986, released three studio albums and had seven Top 40s in the UK charts, including The Only One, Landslide of Love and Born to Be Sold. After they broke up, Wendy James went on to release two albums under the band Racine, and five solo albums, including 2024’s The Shape of History.
