Ava Max goes full Queen on new track ‘Out of Your Mind’
The iconic pop singer turns to the four-piece’s regal rock ‘n’ roll for inspiration on the latest drop from an upcoming, untitled fourth album.

Ava Max seems to be leaning deep into the Queen influences at the moment, following prior single KiLL iT QUEEN, with its Bo Rhap-style vocal arrangements. The chorus here has big, May-esque guitar and multi-layered vocals, like an outtake from the A Night at the Opera sessions.
The lyrics themselves are typically Max: bite-sized, catchy verses full of your standard empowerment mottos (“Count me down / Don’t count me out”). Nevertheless, Out of Your Mind propels itself into the sonic stratosphere, once again offering something that sounds great in your room at 10pm and at the top of your lungs in the nightclub. It’s no Sweet but Psycho, but a memorable address all the same.
