FEET establish their sound on ‘Changing My Mind Again’

The boisterous quintet know what they want from their music — and I’m all for it.

FEET’s first album What’s Inside is More Than Just Ham hit us four years ago now, followed by an EP last year and their first single of 2023 interrupting the silence. And this new track is a testament to the exciting London-based outfit’s unique, exuberant sound and its authenticity. With Changing My Mind Again, they’ve delivered a spectacular return to form with lively guitar melodies, infectious vocals and the unique tone we heard on their debut album.

However, the title track doesn’t feel like just a homage to the album… it feels like an evolution. Crunchy guitars, punky bass and eccentric, exciting vocals that I can’t help but compare to that of Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson. It feels as if FEET are evolving into a slightly grittier, more mature sound; typical of so many quintessential British indie-alt-rock bands.

Can’t Get In — their previous single released last year — is no different. Singer George Haverson’s vocals drive this song: similarly to their newest track, he delivers vocals with such style that you can’t help but smile while listening to the perky guitar supporting them.

With FEET currently supporting Inhaler on their UK tour this year, they are definitely a band to watch — refining their identity with lots of promise.
