Leeds-based quartet L’objectif once again proved to their listeners that they will not define themselves as one particular genre with their latest single Lily of the Valley. The young band graced our ears with the last single from their upcoming EP The Left Side, which is set to be released March 22nd.

Frontman and producer Saul Kane explains how the song follows “themes of ambition and failure and how the two sides of the brain can work against each other”, he then adds how the EP is, “the closest thing to knowing what picture we want to paint”.

The Yorkshire band once again have shown that they will not be put into a box, but rather fall under the alternative umbrella with its captivating melodies from the guitar as well as their down-to-earth and relatable lyrics. Their songs range from following similar themes to being straight up completely different ends of the scale to one another and Lily of the Valley is no different. As an avid L’objectif listener and enjoyer, I for one am excited to be taken on a journey of discovery with their new EP.

The Left Side is out March 22nd via Chess Club Records.
