Ruby Doomsday have recently come out with Blood and Thunder, their first offering to the streaming world; the four-minute track sets a wonderful scene for them in every facet imaginable. The instrumentation makes its presence well known starting from the first second of the song, putting out an extremely powerful “yell” to grab and hold attention and is very easy to get lost in given how it’s introduced within the song.

The instrumentals set the scene for what’s to come, without fully bowing out or feeling like it’s taking a backseat to anything that’s going on. It is a phenomenal sign that this and the vocals can co-exist without one or the other being sacrificed.

The vocals of this song are wonderful. They are genuinely enchanting in every sense of the word, and it is very easy to adore what’s done with them in this regard, as they blend beautifully with some already extremely strong instrumentation, creating some wonderful harmony between the two facets. It is just utterly heavenly what is done vocally from everyone on this song, and the only bad part is that eventually the song has to end. The solo vocals are great, and the group vocals are just as good.

This is an incredible song with some true and genuine love put behind it, and it shows, especially regarding the replay factor that this song has.

Blood and Thunder is out now.
