Following a highly anticipated 2025 with the release of sophomore record, moisturizer, Wet Leg set to utilise their continuing popularity with the release of a remix version of their commercially successful song mangetout, seeing a collaboration with rising indie sleaze and electronica artist The Dare.

The Dare revived the early 2000s craze of indie electronica, most notably taking production credits for 2024’s Guess remix by Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, whilst also releasing his own debut album, What’s Wrong With New York?.

This remix takes a distinguished rework of the original, swapping the driving guitar chords for a plucky bassline and brash synths. It’s a bold take using The Dare’s signature unapologetically intentional production while only slightly altering Rhian Teasdale’s vocals to feature a more appropriate, highly reverbed sample. The Dare excels immensely in reimagining the song’s sonic landscape, layering punchy electronic textures, incorporating glitchy percussion, and twisting the melodic lines whilst ultimately still embracing the song’s overall theme: Man-get-out.

The remix lands at a pivotal moment in Wet Leg’s progression in 2026, starting with three GRAMMY nominations, two BRIT nominations and an extensive world tour and festival circuit to continue throughout the year.

mangetout - The Dare remix is out now via Domino Records.
