Tom Emlyn drops whirlwind new track ‘Starsick’
The release is Emlyn’s first on Dirty Carrot Records, and follows the musician’s fifth studio album, last year’s ‘The Names of the Streetcorners’.

Tom Emlyn’s latest single, Starsick, has a simple, 8-bit drumbeat and the kind of repetitive riff which lodges itself deep in your skull for several months. It’s a little indie, a splash of electronica and gives way to a ‘60s pop-rock number, with Emlyn channelling The Kinks’ Ray Davies.
There’s a hint of Bolan-esque glam in there, too. Emlyn interlaces the old with the new to create something truly wonderful on this release. It’s indie rock for those who want something a little meatier, a little richer.
