Terra Twin drop sophomore EP ‘Scumbag’

The EP releases alongside its latest single, ‘Orange Sky’, and follows the group’s debut extended play, 2014’s ‘Head Leaking.’

Fast rising London outfit Terra Twin are onto a winner. Currently touring Europe with the massive World News, they’ve now put out their second EP, Scumbag. And it’s a whole lot of fun. Teaming up with producer James Dring for the second time, Scumbag promises big, airy choruses, singalong standouts and stratospheric guitar moments.

The newest single, Orange Sky is one hell of a catchy indie rock tune, but opener Parking Lot puts to rest any rumours that Terra Twin can’t roll and swing with the best of them. Semi-titular Scumbag Crying ups the fuzz, distorts the amps and raises the bar yet higher, in a genuinely impressive extended play from the group. Closer Fantasy Battery has the same kind of mystifying, enigmatic hope you find in truly great album climaxes.

On an EP, there’s no room to miss — in that way, they demand a higher calibre than full length albums. It’s fair to say that Terra Twin have struck gold here, offering something for the indie scene, the denizens of which have no shortage of names to choose from. Keep a space in your heart – and your playlist – for this band; despite the name, they deliver something otherworldly.
