A Stone’s Throw Festival reveals first wave of acts for 2026

Luvcat and Working Men’s Club lead the first announcement for the North Shields multi-venue favourite, set to return on Saturday 23 May 2026.

The North Shields multi-venue event has unveiled its first set of artists for 2026, marking the beginning of its fourth edition on the North East coast.

Leading the bill are Liverpool dark-pop risers Luvcat, bringing their dramatic, shadowy pop energy to the Tyne-side seaside and Manchester’s Working Men’s Club, whose pulsing, electronic-leaning sound has made them one of the UK’s most compelling live acts. Together, they set the tone for another bold town-wide takeover.

Joining them are Belfast trio Chalk, Welsh punk outfit Panic Shack, rising singer-songwriter Gia Ford, Imogen and the Knife and North Shields’ own Hector Gannet, alongside a wider mix of emerging talent confirmed in the opening drop.

Now in its fourth year, A Stone’s Throw transforms North Shields into a walkable trail of live music, taking over venues including The Exchange 1856, King Street Social Club, Salt Market Social, Three Tanners Bank and The Engine Room. A shuttle bus links the spaces, but much of the appeal lies in moving between them and catching sets across the town as the day unfolds.

Since launching in 2022, the festival has steadily carved out its place in the North East’s live calendar, balancing established names with artists on the cusp. If this first wave is anything to go by, 2026 looks set to continue that run.

With this initial batch of acts now public, anticipation is already building — and more names are expected in the coming months.

Tickets can be bought here for £35.
