It’s not often you hear that a band is from Scunthorpe but, low and behold, there truly is a first for everything. Blue Bendy are the band of the moment: making waves in the North as well as the South, the experimental group have announced their debut album So Medieval. Alongside the album announcement, they shared new track Come On Baby, Dig! and announced tour dates in support of the album.

The tour will see them travel around the UK, landing in all of the usual spots (London, Manchester, etc) and starts in May. More importantly, they’ll be playing a special album launch show at Café Indiependent in their hometown, keeping their roots firmly on the ground.

Exploding onto the scene in 2019 with Closing Sound, the band have gone on to share a wealth of rather good music, including the 2022 EP Motorbike, which saw them catapult onto many critics’ radars and stand-out tracks like Mr. Bubblegum (that has made it onto the album).

So Medieval is out April 12th via The state51 Conspiracy. Pre-order from Rough Trade here.
