Irish indie rock legends Fontaines D.C. have announced that their fifth studio album Dopamine Chamber is due to be released on October 16th 2026.

On August 13th, the band posted a photo on Instagram captioned “5”. This came after their three concerts in Spain where they performed new songs Marianne and Six Shot Morning, and which were then followed three days later with a teaser of a new single and an album title.

Debuting their first single since 2025’s It’s Amazing To Be Young, Marianne officially kicked off this new era for Fontaines D.C. The song is one of 11 on the new record, with James Ford as producer. Ford, who produced their fourth studio album Romance, has helped the band to develop and enhance their soundscape further.

Fontaines’ 2024 record, Romance, saw the band sky-rocket to new levels of fame with hit singles Favourite and Starburster. They then completed a sell-out UK tour followed by huge shows in open venues across the UK, including Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park and Newcastle's Exhibition Park.

It's clear that the band won’t be slowing down any time soon. After their automatic sell-out November 2026 tour was released, the band continue to grow with announcements that they will play two nights at Manchester’s Heaton Park as well as Slane Castle. With the band headlining Reading and Leeds Festival this year, there is a growing demand to see the boys live.

On their November tour, expect to catch them in venues such as London’s O2 and Manchester’s AO Arena — and with Glastonbury returning in 2027, can we anticipate a headline feature for them next year? We can only hope.
