Alongside their newest single BITTEN BY LOVE VAR. XI, cult rock band Frog have just announced their newest album, THE COUNT

Their last project, 1000 Variations on the Same Song, was released just 6 months ago and became a critical smash hit. THE COUNT, however, is set to shift gears sonically while still retaining frontman Daniel Bateman’s thoughtful lyricism.

THE COUNT sees Bateman take on the role of the album’s titular character, that of a mysterious New Yorker turned piano man for one impromptu and unforgettable performance. Bateman stated, “The music was stranger than any the audience had ever heard, but it had a strong and captivating rhythm, and his touch was arresting”. The album will feature ten tracks, all revolving around this enigmatic figure.

Frog also announced they will be performing a set of shows across the US following an appearance on September 4th at Hopscotch Fest in Raleigh, NC.

THE COUNT is set to be released on September 19th via tapewormies.
