Heidi Curtis announces debut EP and shares powerful single ‘What Am I Missing?’

The single, Curtis’ third following ‘Undone’ and ‘Siren’, drops just as the musician prepares to support Holly Humberstone on her UK tour.

I’m just going to say what we’re all thinking after one listen of this track: Heidi Curtis has one of the finest voices in the 21st-century rock scene, comfortably sitting somewhere between old-school, Californian rocker and vengeful Geordie banshee.

What Am I Missing? promises more than your standard pop rocker, holding an intense pathos at its core that puts it on the side of poetic rather than pop-y throwaway. It’s the kind of track you’d have heard in every show about young twenty-somethings in the early noughties; that rebellion, attitude and melancholy put to verse. Curtis has also announced a debut EP, Hollow Heart, set for release on May 29th.

If the three singles shared so far are anything to go by, we could be primed to see a truly meteoric rise.

Hollow Heart is out May 29th via AWAL.
