Everyone’s favourite Australian multi-genreists King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have announced their next much-anticipated EU tour, bringing their latest album, the rave and jungle-inspired Alien Metal, to the UK and mainland Europe. The tour’s final set will be at the 5000-capacity Bristol Sounds festival, a return to the city after last playing there in 2024.

The group’s last UK shows saw them deliver a standout set at Royal Albert Hall in London, on a tour which consisted of both symphonic and rave performances.

Since the release of King Gizzard’s 28th album, the band staged the second incarnation of their own festival, Field of Vision, earlier this summer. Alien Metal adds another string to the Aussies’ bow, exploring modulated synth set-ups and jungle music, where previously they were known for psychedelic metal, thrash and electropop.

The EU and UK tour will see the experimental six-piece play Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.

Tickets for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard at Bristol Sounds go on general sale at 9am on Friday, October 30th here.
