LIDO Festival announces CMAT as headliner for 2026
The Irish star will be joined by the likes of Father John Misty and Katy J Pearson at Victoria Park in June.
It’s safe to say that CMAT — real name Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson — has had one hell of a year. She released her third album, EURO-COUNTRY, in August to huge acclaim, which was nominated for a Mercury (she lost to Sam Fender’s People Watching, to many people’s dismay), a Pyramid Stage performance at Glastonbury and slots at all the hottest festivals Summer can offer: Green Man, Primavera and All Points East.
With a headline UK and Ireland tour about to kick off after being postponed — thanks to wisdom teeth removal — and a bigger tour next Spring, as well as being announced for Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival and Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival, the sky really is the limit for CMAT. There’s no doubt that 2026 could get even better for the Irish pop star as she takes her ‘Woke Macarena’ on tour.
Joining her is Father John Misty, who recently enjoyed his own headline tour of Europe and released his sixth studio album, Mahashmashana, last year, and is no stranger to UK soil.
Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory will also be making an appearance, having released an album written and recorded entirely with her band for the first time — letting go of control, and seeing just what that can sound like.
Also on the line-up are Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Getdown Services, Katy J Pearson, Junior Brother, Jacqui McShee’s Pentangle and more yet to be announced.
Presale starts on Wednesday, 12th November at 10am and general sale starts on Thursday, 13th November at 10am. Sign-up to presale here.
