Taking Back Sunday announce Irish headline shows


The band will return to Ireland for the first time since 2019.

Pop punk legends Taking Back Sunday have announced two headline shows on the island of Ireland this coming May, with the band returning to the Emerald Isle for the first time since 2019. 

The band have scheduled shows at The Academy in Dublin on May 20th and then will cross the border into Northern Ireland to play at The Limelight in Belfast on May 21st, giving those Irish fans the first opportunity to see them live in six years. 

The band is heavily revered in the history of pop punk with timeless albums such as Tell All Your Friends, released in 2002 and also Louder, released in 2006. With many putting Taking Back Sunday into the Mount Rushmore of pop punk bands, making them by far one of the most influential acts in the alternative rock scene. 

Now touring veterans, with their career spanning over two decades, you can expect an emphatic performance with heavy hits such as Cute Without the ‘E’ and MakeDamnSure, which will no doubt release all the nostalgia within you.

The Irish shows come as part of a big year of touring for Taking Back Sunday, as they will also appear at Slam Dunk Festival in May.
