The Great Escape announces the return of its First Fifty launch event
Artists from 2027’s Great Escape lineup will takeover East London in November.
The Great Escape has announced its initial lineup with a unique launch event. The first wave of artists announced to play at next year’s festival will perform across seven venues in London on 12th November 2026.
Over at Moth Club, English experimental group Compost Compost Compost, who have yet to formally release anything, will grace the stage along with rock group Die Twice and Australian genre-bending outfit Dumbhead as part of DIY Neu Nights.
Emerging Belfast indie group Esmeralda Road are set to perform at Oslo in a lineup curated by Ticketmaster New Music. They will be joined by BRIT School alums Xanadu, Brighton-based rock group Pack of Animals, and Irish singer-songwriter Jordan Joy.
There are still some artists to be announced at Paper Dress Vintage hosted by BBC Introducing. However, the starting lineup is solid, including East London native R&B artist simon a., who arrives off the back of a successful summer festival circuit, and rapper J Casa, who brings a unique sound to stage with his jazz infused hip hop beats. Nigerian soul singer-songwriter Chiderah will also take to the stage.
High-octane Leeds based alt group Bathing Suits will perform at Seabright Arms in a lineup curated by Dork. Bristol based artist Shrink and French group chest. complete the bill. At Folklore, casual smart will offer listeners a taste of their delightfully earnest sound along with London trio Half Star and Welsh songwriter Tesni.
American singer-songwriter Aubory Bugg brings her diaristic and acoustically driven music to The Victoria. Listeners are then in for a slight vibe shift as London electropop artist Gianna takes the stage. Scottish pop artist Abbie Gordon rounds out the trio with her catchy tunes. The lineup is presented by Ones To Watch.
Irish punk artist State Of Grace take on The Shacklewell Arms as part of So Young’s lineup, alongside ironically named French indie group Spanish Horses and Scottish folk-pop band Angelface.
First Fifty is set to be a delightful smorgasbord of emerging talent, highlighting artists across a variety of musical styles and genres.
