This Is Lorelei announces new album ‘The Singer In My Band’

Today, This Is Lorelei has announced his new record, The Singer In My Band, will be released later this year. The hotly anticipated new album will be his first to come out on Matador Records and is the first since 2024’s critically acclaimed Box For Buddy, Box For Star.
This Is Lorelei recently released Box For Buddy, Box For Star(Super Deluxe), a deluxe edition filled with guest covers of songs from the album. The deluxe edition features the likes of Snail Mail, Waxahatchee and, most notably, MJ Lenderman.
This Is Lorelei is the long-running solo project of Water From Your Eyes’ Nate Amos. The band have released numerous albums and mixtapes, but their upcoming record will be just their second full-length album recorded in a professional studio. Amos is renowned in indie music circles for writing unique and infectious indie pop songs that combine a myriad of influences together. His songs mix electronic pop, autotuned vocals and Pavement-inspired indie rock with country and Americana song structures.
Alongside the album announcement, the first single from The Singer In My Band has also been released. Billy Came Back is an outlaw country-inspired road song with a big chorus that’s typical of the best of Amos’s songwriting.
This Is Lorelei also recently announced a UK tour, taking place in November of this year. See full dates below.
