Weezer announce ‘The Gathering’ World Tour for 2027
The band’s new self-titled album is coming on August 21st.
Ahead of the release of their upcoming 21st studio album, American rockers Weezer have announced international dates that promise to live up to expectations, adding to an already extensive 32-date North American tour this Autumn.
The World Tour, which kicks off this September in the USA and will see the band tour all the way into late October before heading to Japan in February, then stopping off to play huge shows in Ireland, the UK and Europe in May.
The UK leg will see them visit arenas like Manchester’s newest arena Co-Op Live, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Glasgow’s OVO Arena, Birmingham’s, Newcastle’s and Cardiff’s Utilita Arenas and a stop at the iconic venue Alexandra Palace (‘Ally Pally’ to most) in London.
The band, whose first release, Pinkerton, welcomed them into the music world back in 1996, will bring their new self-titled album on tour, aka ‘The Gold Album’, which joins their past Blue, Green, Red, White, Teal and Black albums. Although they’ll be playing new album tracks, teasers on social media promise most — if not all — of the greatest hits will be aired too.
Joining the band are fellow rock icons Taking Back Sunday, who will support Weezer on their UK and European dates, with The Shins and Silversun Pickups set to support the North American leg.
