Deer Tick return with classic rock homage ‘ACI’
A new album by the Rhode Island group, ‘Coin-O-Matic’, is out June 5th.

It’s impossible not to address the big, New Jersey-touting elephant in the room in Deer Tick’s newest track. It owes a lot to Springsteen, in its working-man-done-hard narrative and heartland rock structure. But it owes just as much to equally working-roots artists John Mellencamp or The Hooters.
Centred around Rhode Island’s real-world Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI), it’s a crazy, catchy rocker and packs some cutting realism to boot.
