Howling Bells drop gorgeous new indie single ‘Melbourne’

The track releases ahead of the band’s new album, Strange Life, on February 13th.

A driving, Fender-esque offering of indie rock, with a lush guitar sound reminiscent of the best the genre has to offer. That’s what comes to mind when I play UK-based Aussie trio Howling Bells’ newest track, Melbourne.

Frontwoman Juanita Stein’s voice binds it all together like a delicate, springtime stem — giving the not-even-three-minute track power long past the fade-out.

The final release from the group’s upcoming album, Strange Life — Howling Bells’ first in a staggering twelve years — it’s sure to please longtime fans and soon-to-be converts alike.
