‘JING’AN TEMPLE’ from SILVERWINGKILLER takes you on a crazy good ride
The track is strong, the influences are strong, and it all combines into something special.
The beginning of JING’AN TEMPLE leads into intriguing waters, starting off slow (for all of 8 seconds), and then going straight into what is an incredible beat drop, setting the pace and keeping up the momentum and vibe of the track as a whole.
There are some incredible things done with the production on here that make you stop and ponder. Everything builds together to make you hang onto what’s going on from start to finish, whether it’s the purposeful slow start being opened up into the beat drop, thus really kicking the track off, or whether it’s the way things breathe for a few seconds at the end of the track right into more lax, but still unmistakably good production.
The story behind this song is also particularly interesting, adding even more of a mythos to the duo that is SILVERWINGKILLER. You can also tell that they really did their homework when it comes to how outside electronic music influences really weigh in beautifully on this track.
It’s replayable, it’s an almost entrancing listen, and there’s just so much to really sink your teeth into regarding this track. It’ll be very interesting to see what’s next on the horizon for SILVERWINGKILLER, but one can imagine that it’ll be something just as fantastic as this.
