Ollie Cook drops catchy new indie rocker ‘Home Video’

After signing to London’s Hand in Hive label, the British musician reveals ‘90s-esque track punctuated with introspective lyrics and a driving riff.

Described by Ollie Cook himself as ‘Brumicana Dad Rock’, Home Video is another longing, crunchy track from the British musician. Echoing the likes of classic rock artists like Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and the Steve Miller Band, it’s a bit Americana, a bit heartland, a bit indie and somewhere between reflective and strangely hopeful. It’s the kind of track you could hear pumping out any radio in the mid-‘90s, but just as well in today’s poppier-oriented climate. In other words, an anthem for all seasons.

Ollie Cook — alongside his band affectionately called The Hogwash — have signed to Hand in Hive, the same label behind acts Divorce and TV Priest.

Home Video is out now via Hand in Hive.
