MAQUINA.’s industrial club vision, new single ‘misfit’
The trio from Lisbon release new nine-minute track digitally and on limited 12” vinyl, as they tour Europe.

The three-piece’s own bio sums their latest release up perfectly. misfit is nearly nine minutes of droning, schizophrenic rock, blurring the lines between alternative and late-night EDM. There’s something so hypnotic about the track, despite all the distorted guitars, bombastic backbeat and prison guard-like barking.
With tracks like this — which rely so heavily on a repeated, driving beat — they’re usually never long enough; two-minute, bite-sized pieces of a cyclical, chugging machine. misfit turns this concept on its head, promising an epic, industrial anthem that belongs in a shifty, Cyberpunk 2077 type dive bar as much as it does the very real life dancefloor.
