The solo project of American-born, London-based musician Nick Hinman, Fast Money Music returns with a new track, Round and Round. Taken from the songwriter’s upcoming debut album, it describes itself as “a Suicide song. Or a song from under the floorboards. A naive melody in the style of Melody Nelson. Or maybe, it’s the absence of all those things”.

In reality, Round and Round is actually a very classic indie rock track, dealing with Hinman’s themes of ‘Groundhog Day’, “bittersweet but driving… equal parts hopeful and yearning. It’s a lovable effort of pop rock meets bedroom electro, all backed up by dreamy harmonies somewhere between The Cleaners From Venus and The Magnetic Fields — the kind of release that begs to find a place on the playlist.

Whatever Fast Money Music was going for, one thing is certain: the new track is crazy catchy, even on the tenth go-round.

Round and Round is out now via Sick Records.
