Max Avoidance steals the synthwave scene with experimental ‘Alone’

The single marks the solo producer’s debut, ahead of a 9-track EP.

Alone, the debut single of electronic pop project Max Avoidance (brainchild of London-based Hari Limaye), is an ‘80s synthwave homage at its best; one simple, ASCII-punctuated melody and repetitive, dreamlike vocals. There’s a little darkwave in here, a little modern-day pop, the glitchy culmination of months locked away in your bedroom with insomnia and computer software. It’s sure to fill a gulf between several subgenres and music archetypes, offering a little something for everyone.

Alone is out now via Catching Water.
