Ever watch Scooby-Doo and forever wish you were a part of the Hex Girls? Well, Venus Grrrls might not a trio but they sure as hell as the real life Hex Girls. The girls come from Leeds/Newcastle and consists of Badass front woman GK/Grace Kelly (Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar), Hannah Barraclough (Bass), Eliza Lee (Lead Guitar), Grace Stubbings (Synth) and Gabby Cooke (Drums).

After asserting their dominance with Divine. The new single — Bloodsick — has proved that these grrrls are the shit and aren’t stopping any time soon. The track shows off the gothic-grunginess of the band and proves once again that the year 2024 was made for these girls. “Bloodsick describes a change, or a metamorphosis of a being that has become far more insular and isolated,” GK says of the track, “It is a grief of what once was, that transcends into a bittersweet liberation of a new body, or way of living both physically and emotionally.”

Not only have the girls just dropped their latest single, they’ve also just announced their headlining tour in September in partnership with Anthony Nolan – a stem cell transplant charity that works with over 900,000 donators. A statement from Anthony Nolan states, “At Anthony Nolan we know that one individual can transform the lives of patients with blood cancer and blood disorders. VENUS GRRLS fans – your stem cells could hold the key to someone’s survival and starts with a simple swab. We need people aged 16-30, particularly young men and those from minority ethnic backgrounds, to join the Anthony Nolan register. By doing so, you could be the lifeline someone desperately needs, offering them a second chance at life.”

The band have worked so so hard, and this single proves it. Join them this April as they join Sprints on their tour in April and in one of the many many festival fields this summer.
