Rock icons Foo Fighters and R&B singer-songwriter H.E.R. are banding together to release a new version of The Glass. The original version will be officially released as a single with the new versions, making it the fifth single from Foo Fighters’ eleventh studio album But Here We Are.

The latest single from But Here We Are will be released as a double a-side, with H.E.R. having her version of the song included in the release. The Glass will also be released in tandem with the digital release as a 7” vinyl. It will be exclusively sold at independent record stores on the band’s website.

The reworking of The Glass will be the first collaboration between the artists. Deemed a reinterpretation of the album version, the new version takes on a new musical demeanour and expression, while H.E.R.’s version will expand upon her sound to blend with its counterpart. A newfound fan favourite, Foo Fighters pairing the song with a musical powerhouse makes sense — it’s a display of the musicality they founded themselves upon intertwining with the uniqueness H.E.R. brings to the table.

The Glass is out now via RCA Records.
