sombr announces details of debut album ‘I Barely Know Her’
After a string of successful singles, the album will finally be released on August 22nd.

Following heavy anticipation by fans, this year’s global breakthrough star, sombr, has finally announced the release date for his 10-track new album, I Barely Know Her, and we don’t have to wait for long at all.
This news comes ahead of a headline UK tour that had smaller venues selling out in minutes as fans flooded en masse to see the alt-pop artist on his March 2026 tour.
The album has been entirely written and co-produced by the New York singer/songwriter, alongside producer Tony Berg, esteemed for artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius, The Replacements and more. Therefore, the expectations that I Barely Know Her will follow such big footsteps, and catapult the 20-year-old even further, are high.
After such a momentous year, the album is sure to follow the success of the singles already released, such as undressed and 12 to 12, as well as the sensational track back to friends, which has taken the internet by storm. All of these feature on the tracklist for the new album.
Alongside these singles, seven more tracks are featured, with titles suggesting they will follow similar themes of relationships and heartbreak as those already released.
