If you’ve ever found yourself amidst the indie scene at any point from 2015 to now, you may have just heard about the mesmerising music from The Magic Gang. After two successful albums, too many tours to count and over ten years together, the band have decided to close the curtains on their time together. The news comes after three years of no new music since 2020’s album Death of the Party.

All hope is not lost, however, as each member will be exploring other avenues as singer-songwriters and dedicating their time to exploring their own tastes and styles. Interestingly, in frontman Jack Kaye’s statement posted to the band’s social media, he says “For now, we’ve decided to call time on The Magic Gang.” Hopefully one day we’ll see the return of The Magic Gang in the future, whether that’s for a one-off show or a whole new album.

Alongside the announcement, the band will be playing three last shows in the UK to bid farewell to beloved fans. The shows start in Glasgow, then a stop in Manchester before ending on a high note in London. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday (26th).
