Birmingham natives UB40 announced their 21st (yep!) album on Friday, set for release in April. The album will see their most-loved songs revamped to fit with their current style of playing them in 2024, including tracks like Red Red Wine, Cherry Oh Baby and Kingston Town. The tracks have been given a fresh sound while remaining uniquely UB40.

Their producing partner, Jamie Travers, son of the late saxophonist and original member Brian Travers, plays keys on the album and has isolated his father’s sax from live shows to honour him on the new record, having sadly lost him in 2021.

As well as announcing the new album, the iconic band will also tour arenas this Autumn, starting at Wembley and finishing in Belfast.

UB45 is out April 19th and is available to pre-order now.
