An incredible concert hosted by Bathtime Sounds, the pseudonym of Rachid Fakhre, A.K.A Skydaddy, has been announced at Hackney’s art deco EartH Theatre.

This one-off concert is doubling as a fundraiser for children affected by the atrocities currently taking place in Gaza and Sudan, where all of the money raised will be donated to War Child UK.

War Child UK is an organisation founded in 1993 by two filmmakers, David Wilson and Bill Leeson, assisted by Dutch peace activist Willemijn Verloop. It is a vital organisation that has provided assistance over the years, working with local communities and organisations to stand up for the rights of children affected by wars across the world.

Formed after returning from Yugoslavia and witnessing the pain that war causes for the children, War Child provides critical support such as clean water, hygiene kits, clothing, blankets and food in times of need. Previous and current work has taken place, and is currently taking place in over 14 countries, which has made a vital difference in the lives of those affected by the atrocities of war.

The EartH to Earth concert will feature a fantastic range of music from up-and-coming London-based musicians, from everything to folk to guitar-pop and post-rock. The event will also feature a brief but powerful talk at the event hosted by representatives of War Child UK, who will be presenting their work in the two highlighted war zones.

The wonderful artists that will be on stage on Saturday, the 28th of March are Ugly, Skydaddy, Blue Bendy, Aga Ujma, mary in the junkyard and DJ sets from the brilliant Black Country, New Road at Earth Kitchen.

This is a fantastic opportunity to also meet people in a like-minded community who are devout in supporting a critical cause for a huge number of people who are currently struggling with the trauma of the situations they’re forced to endure on a daily basis.

Speaking more about the event, Rachid says: “Two years on, as the conflict widens and we are already seeing the widespread effects of trauma in both Gaza and Sudan, I feel War Child are making great efforts to help not just children but whole families who are suffering from trauma. There will be a brief talk at the event from a representative of War Child who will be outlining their work in both war zones.”

Tickets cost £25.75 and can be purchased here.
