Heidi Curtis has the whole world in her hands. Or so it seems. She’s just been announced as a support for Florence + the Machine on their Irish dates next month, she’s opened for Lewis Capaldi, and she’s poised to release her first full-length material on May 29th: Hollow Heart.

Behind the Door is our latest taste; it’s a little early Zep, a touch of Alannah Myles and a dash of contemporaries Black Honey. The track has a rollicking melody and galloping drumbeat. It’s an intriguing piece, full of ghostly verse and gothic, lace-curtained windows through which you can explore a whole world, like a Victorian science-fiction waltzed into a wild west saloon. It’s also just a very catchy track, and further proof that Curtis stands up to the hype.

The full EP, Hollow Heart, is out May 29th via AWAL.
