Scandroid — the ‘80s-inspired project from Celldweller’s Klayton — has announced a new album and, with it, an otherworldly new synth track, Lost in the Stars. According to Klayton, a short book is in the works ahead of the album release, to expand on the lore of the Scandroid ‘universe’.

The track itself is pure Carpenter Brut meets Eurovision; campy, continental dance-rock that’s impossible not to bop along to in some form. It’s got a deliciously addictive chorus, a pulsing supernova of a backbeat, and feisty guitar where it counts. It’s a worthy continuation of Klayton’s previous work under Scandroid, and spells well for the future, hopefully not so many light-years away…
