Lambrini Girls serve up bitter pop-punk pill in new track ‘Cult of Celebrity’

The incendiary duo’s newest single dissects and spits at the ‘devil incarnate’ elite.

Lyrically, Lambrini Girls’ latest offering puts two fingers up at record executives and the high-class elite. Name-checking Weinstein, referencing the likes of Epstein, Cult of Celebrity has a sledgehammering chorus made to break down concrete.

Fans of the duo’s previous work (God’s Country, Cuntology 101) will by now be used to their sneering, piss-on-them attitude — very ‘Gen Z’ — but the track is on the right side of preachy.

It’s refreshingly, crushingly real; it’s the definition of protest punk and does exactly what the pair intended it to do: leave you equal parts whiplashed and sick to the stomach.

Cult of Celebrity is out now via City Slang.
